UPC email addresses extended for another three months following negotiations between NMHH and Vodafone
Vodafone Magyarország Zrt. has extended access to UPC webmail for users of the service by three months, and it will provide support with creating new email accounts and backing data up, after intervention by the NMHH and the Media and Infocommunications Commissioner.

NMHH: Invitel and UPC fined HUF 80 million and HUF 10 million, respectively, for engaging in behaviour injurious to consumer interests
Hungary’s National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) has, under its oversight remit, imposed a HUF 80 million fine on Invitel Zrt (Invitel) for its infringement of regulations governing electronic communications. Specifically, for unlawfully making unilateral amendments to individual subscription agreements. As well, the Authority has meted out a HUF 10 million fine on UPC Hungary Kft. (UPC) for its failure, for over a year, to amend its unlawful Terms of Service (TOS). This despite the Authority’s prior binding ruling to this effect, an infraction seriously detrimental to all its subscribers’ interests.
NMHH: Mobile call termination rate reduced to HUF 1.71 per minute as of 1 April
As of 1 April, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) will further decrease the wholesale call termination rate for mobile operators. As per the decision issued by the President of the Authority, the HUF 7.06 per minute rate effective since January 2013 will be reduced to HUF 1.71 per minute for all service providers. At the same time, three additional mobile operators will be added to this regulatory scheme: UPC Magyarország Telekommunikációs Kft., Netfone Telecom Távközlési Szolgáltató Kft. and Tesco MBL Távközlési Zrt.
